OncoBrain brings patient records, clinical references, and AI-assisted drafts into one case workspace. Use it to prepare for review, identify missing information, compare options, and document your decisions.
The features below are implemented in the app. Connected records, licensed references, external AI assistants, and technical monitoring need deployment-specific setup. All screenshots use synthetic demo data; select an image to open it at full size.
Prepare a case
The Worklist shows preparation progress and referral readiness together. Search or filter the list, then open the case you need. A patient can have several oncology cases, with a shared patient history and recorded care encounters.
Add documents and images or paste notes in Intake & sources. To bring in connected records, start from Import records in the Worklist. Originals remain available alongside the extracted text. In Extraction review, compare proposed findings with their sources, accept or edit useful findings, and commit the review. Review the Patient chart before confirming changes.
Imported records and AI suggestions do not become chart facts automatically. Missing information stays visible, and you can still prepare useful drafts from incomplete material. Follow the case walkthrough for the full sequence.
Check a referral packet
Referral readiness assesses the documented referral reason, supporting records, missing information, and conflicts. A clinician or care coordinator reviews that assessment and records Needs more information or Ready for clinical review.
This answers whether the packet is ready for review. It does not decide diagnosis, treatment, or referral acceptance. If the supporting information changes, Needs refresh tells you to update the assessment before recording a new decision.
Ask for the draft you need
Start each task when it is useful. A diagnosis draft does not automatically launch a treatment plan.

Results keep the information they used at the time. A later upload does not rewrite an earlier answer. See how to start each task and review its result.
Compare treatment options
Review the same treatment draft in four views:

Choose a working option after reviewing the evidence and unresolved checks. OncoBrain keeps that choice and its planning details with the version you reviewed. Doses and projected dates are planning information; they do not create prescriptions, orders, or appointments. Review treatment plans.
Review internal trials
Trial matching compares the case with your organization's active internal-trial documents. It keeps potentially relevant trials, missing information, and mismatches visible.
Review each criterion independently, then choose one trial to pursue or record that none is appropriate. The review preserves the trial document versions used. A potential match still needs current recruitment, site, and eligibility checks. Review trial criteria.
Prepare a handoff
In Artifacts, generate a clinician case summary or a coordinator summary. These are separate outputs for different readers. An eligible clinician summary can be marked reviewed and exported as a PDF; OncoBrain records an export receipt so the same document can be reproduced.
Marking a summary reviewed does not sign a clinical note. Exporting downloads the document without sending it to another system.
Keep references close to the case
The Library holds patient sources, internal guidance, professional references, clinician preferences, internal trials, and structured catalogs. You can browse and preview documents and ask Copilot questions while working in the Library.
Edits to guidance and trials create new versions. Archived items stop entering new drafts, while earlier results retain their reference history. AI can suggest missing document details; you review the suggestions before saving. Licensed content requires an approved private installation.
Connect records and assistants
Review records from a configured electronic health record (EHR) or request outside records through a health information exchange (HIE). Both paths require identity review before import. Imported material remains source evidence until reviewed for the chart.
Approved AI assistants can use MCP, a standard for connecting assistants to tools, to find authorized cases, read permitted context, and request drafts. They cannot confirm chart facts or make clinical decisions. OncoBrain can also generate a FHIR R4 file, a standard format for exchanging health records; it does not write that file back to an EHR.

Inspect service activity
Administrators can inspect recorded application activity and, when configured, technical traces and masked browser session replay. Technical monitoring helps diagnose the service; it is separate from the patient record and clinical review history. Operations guide.
